We all have a list of things we want to do before we die. I started forming my list when I was in my late teens, early 20′s. Then I sort of forgot about it. Now, a year away from my 40′s, the list is spending a lot of time in the front of my mind. I expect it to expand a great deal as time passes. Some things I’ve already accomplished, some I’m only now realizing are important to me.
- Run a marathon (yes, folks, that’s 26.2 miles. In a row.). See more here.
- Write a book.
- Publish a book.
- Learn to dance. Not that stuff I did in clubs when I was younger. I’m talking about actually coordinated, in sync with a partner, dancing. Should be interesting since I have no sense of rhythm.
- Finish my degree. Something I should have done years ago. Too bad I spent all my time drinking and playing pool when I was in college the first time around.
- Learn how to do stained glass.
- Ride my bike (the pedal kind) from Portland to Seattle. And back again.
- Visit the pyramids in Mexico.
- Visit the pyramids in Egypt.
- Speak Spanish fluently. I used to be pretty good, but then I stopped trying and the language went poof right out of my brain. Now I get to start over. This time I plan to hold on to what I learn.
